A Few More “Proposal” Photos

I have little to add to Mike’s description of the “Proposal” shoot, except that it was one of the most nerve-wracking experiences I’ve ever had on a set. As Mike intuited, I had grave doubts about our ability to wrap before we lost the light – and of course if we didn’t, it would be my fault.  That’s a special kind of panic that I generally like to live without.

On the other hand, when the light finally faded to a deep blue on the horizon, it was thrilling to realize that not only had we finished the film, but we actually had a little extra time to goof off in front of our makeshift stage in the light of a hastily-assembled Lowell 500.  Those stolen improvised moments in the twilight were downright magical, and they made it easy to forget how close we had come to disaster.  Or maybe they were all the sweeter because we remembered …

Afterwards, we rewarded ourselves with mimosas (made with “prop” champagne) and our brand-new 12in12 t-shirts.  But those are another post altogether …

“The Proposal” will be posted on Friday.
