Vote on the Title of Film #11

Time is getting short before this project wraps up, and one thing we haven’t done yet is to make up a script on the fly, à la “Queen Bee of Mushroomtown” — the film that kick-started 12in12 in the first place.  As a tribute to “Queen Bee,” and as a way to keep ourselves fresh and excited as the semester winds down, we’re going to do Film #11 film-race-style: give ourselves a prompt, give ourselves a time limit, and see where our muses take us.  What kind of prompt, you ask?  Well, that’s where you come in.

That’s right, True Believers: we’re offering you the chance to choose the title of one of the four remaining films.  Whatever decision you make, we will abide by, even if we wind up kicking ourselves.  Our fate is in your hands!  Make your voice heard.

Each of these titles is a phrase that has come up in conversation at some point in the 12in12 process — except “Mike and Keith and Eight Hot Women,” which is just simply an awesome title, not to mention a screenplay that practically writes itself.  But don’t let me bias you!  As always, vote your conscience.  If we need to rig the ballot box, we’re more than capable of doing it ourselves.

The poll will close the day before shooting, so get your vote in now!

Disclaimer: We may actually use the winning title for Film #12.  Things are a bit up-in-the-air right now, but that’s okay — we’re used to it!

  1. Hero By Proxy. You know you love it.

  2. Root Hill 11215.

  3. “Mike Lavoie and lots of extreme close up and cool lines.” Or “Anna Paquin feeds Mike Lavoie grapes and whipped cream.” I mean, these are easy ones guys. I’m surprised smart, attractive, single guys like Keith and Mike (especially that Mike guy) havent made these great movies yet!

  4. I second “Hero by Proxy”!

  5. i love that “fuck everyone else” and “captivated” are currently, and coincidentally, leading their respective juggernauts with 23% each. seriously.

  6. [...] film will be called “Hero by Proxy.”  Thanks to everyone who voted in our poll (both iterations of it), and special thanks to Gwyneth Connell, who plucked that phrase out of a conversation about [...]
