First Trimester

Rounding out the first trimester of 12 in 12, for your viewing pleasure(?……  !) I’ll be directing “After Perfect” written by Keith Boynton.  For this one we’re bringing back 12 in 12 veterans Genevieve Kolve from last week’s “A Summer’s Day” and Mike Lavoie from “Old Love”.  Today is the calmest the week will be.  Our Saturday shoots are a bit of a controlled fall because once we start filming we have to end the day with all the pieces of a movie in one box.  Sundays are for recovering from yesterday and resuming the ceaseless process of coordinating and booking equipment and personnel, scheduling rehearsals and production meetings, and reminding ourselves why we’re doing this.  I haven’t directed a short film since “Bare Essentials” back in… mid-March.  Wow.  That feels about 87 years ago.  This time I’ll have brand new people and toys to play with.  I can wait, but that’s only because I have no choice.

You know, it’s true.  Everything I do.  I do it for you.
